I had the worst experience at this library . The librarians are racist. They won't let you use the computer or check out books if you're not Caucasian. They don't greet you properly the first thing they will ask is if you obtain a Plainville library card,.... which I do. Numerous times I was asked if I was from Hartford,CT I may not be able to check out a book ,... instead of just asking to see my library card. This library only provides books by Caucasian Authors as well . I prefer Bristol and New Britian library instead.
Love this library. I've been to a number of different ones and this one is my favorite. The staff will help you discover something new that you haven't found before. Special exhibits of art or historical artifacts are often found amongst the treasured tomes. Beautifully decorated, you'll feel relaxed just entering the building.
