While I always read reviews, I think this is the first time I've ever done one myself. Yes, it was that bad. I had an appointment for a one hour prenatal massage as I am 8 months pregnant, but really I was there because I have upper back and neck tension and knots for many years and it has been a while since I last went for a massage. I let Laura know this, and that I'd like the focus to be on those areas. Instead of a massage, I got an hour session of caressing with SOOO much oil. I will not use the word rub because that did not happen for a second the entire time. Through out the first 10 minutes I repeated my self a few times about being comfortable of her applying pressure, or massaging at all, as those areas have been really bothering me but got nothing in return. I have never experienced a massage that uses so much oil, it was more of an oil bath than a massage. Some might think that 'well, you were there for a prenatal massage.' My answer is that I wasn't there because I was pregnant, but I had to say prenatal because I wasn't going to show up to the place the size of a whale without letting them know in advance I was pregnant. I was there because of the tension in my back and neck. However, as a side note, I've had prenatal massages during my last pregnancy and it was a legitimate massage, so this being a 'prenatal massage' was no excuse for the lack of a massage. It was such a horrible experience. When I first walked in I thought I could look past the fact that the place wasn't so clean and well kept because I was just so desperate and looking forward to being there for some relief, but there was nothing redeeming about this place or the experience. I didn't tip Laura, while she was nice, she did not care about my reasons for being there and the service I wanted to receive. I have never not tipped someone before, and I've never left a review on anything.. this was THAT bad.
