Since they have updated the place, it's great to go to. It even has a pond to enjoy.

splash pad, ok. Playground, ok. Facilities, ok. Good location. Grandma smoking, not ok... but otherwise, not bad, not great.
Very poorly maintained.. Die - offs on a yearly basis of fish and foul with no clear reason why. Public Park and Lake is closely surrounded by residents who think that the park and lake belongs to them exclusively, act rudely towards visitors, let their dogs intimidate visitors and contribute to the negative environmental impact. Public restrooms are never open, parking is inadequate. There is a very sweet lady that lives around the park that walks around twice a day picking up everyone else's trash. I get that people have probably become defensive because outsiders come and ruin a nice park where they live, but let the authorities enforce the rules instead.
